Indian Corn on a Fall Tablescape
Summer has gone so fast this year, I can’t believe we are looking at Fall tablescapes now. I think that the idea for this tablescape came from my sister-in-law when she was visiting earlier this year and it was a good one. I wasn’t sure that I could find indian corn items but I got lucky. I found the maxmill ochre yellow tablecloth on Amazon a few months ago. The design kind of reminds me of corn and corn kernels and I love the color. Fall tablescapes are fun to pull together after several Spring and Summer tables. You can see 22 of my other Fall tablescapes and 270+ other tablescapes that I have done of all kinds here: https://www.whispersoftheheart.com/tablescapes
When I started looking for indian corn salad plates online these plates came up and I wasn’t sure that I liked them but they have grown on me. That’s good because they were really the only ones that I could find that would work on this tablescape. They were made by Avon about 1984 and they are actually trivets but I knew that they would work as salad plates on this table setting. I found them on Ebay.
This dinner plate came from Pier 1 several years ago. It was part of their Spice Route Collection. Each plate was named after a spice and this color was called Ginger. I have a few other plates from this collection and I often use them on my tablescapes this time of year because they are all perfect fall colors. I really like the beaded design around the rim on these plates, it adds an additional bit of interest to the plates.
These rattan chargers were among some of the first tablescape items that I bought many years ago. I think I bought them at World Market but if you google rattan charger you can find similar ones that are available on several sites.
This marblelized light brown and cream flatware is marked EM3 Inox 18/10, Made in Italy. I can’t remember where I bought the set online, I have had it for a few years. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here. The soft brown color on this flatware set works well on Fall tablescapes.
I found the leaves napkins on Amazon recently. The indian corn napkin rings are vintage and they came from Ebay. I feel really lucky to have found them.

I had no luck finding indian corn place card holders so I just set the indian corn napkin rings on their sides and rested the place card against them. To read about the What, Where and When of place card holders, please click here.
The amber glass goblet on the left came from Pier 1 on sale right before our store closed many years ago. I love how tall they are. I can’t remember where I found the goblet on the right but it was probably HomeGoods. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying goblets for your tablescaping collection including the colors that I use most often here.
I was looking for something to use as a centerpiece on this tablecape and I found this Harvest Indian Corn Compote on Ebay. It came in the original box and it was originally sold at Cracker Barrel. I found the indian corn at Michael’s.
I added a couple sets of indian corn salt and peppers to the table too that I found on Amazon.
