Bunnies on an Easter Tablescape

This tablescape is a repeat of a tablescape that I did four years ago when I first started blogging. I just tweaked it a bit. The tablecloth probably came from HomeGoods several years ago.

This melamine green and white bunnies egg-shaped salad plate came from HomeGoods four years ago. The plates are marked The Prairie, By Rachel Ashwel. HomeGoods just doesn’t seem to have the great selection of stock that they had a few years ago. They have just never recovered, the stock is not as good as it was then.

This dinner plate was made by Fiesta and the color is called Lemongrass. It was one of the first dinner plates that I bought when I started tablescaping. It is such a bright and cheerful color. I use this color on tablescapes more than I thought I would. I have this dinner plate in several different colors and I use them all. I have a few different white chargers but this is the one I seem to use the most on my tablescapes. The beaded rim design always adds an additional bit of interest to the plate stack. This white beaded charger came from Williams Sonoma and it is called Antique Beaded. It was one of the first chargers I bought 9 years ago when I started tablescaping. I am using my Madeline Green flatware on this table setting. I bought it at World Market several years ago. I really like the frosted design on the handles. If you google frosted flatware and add the color you are looking for you will find similar sets. After red, I think green flatware is the most used flatware color on my tablescapes because it can be used during both the Spring and Fall seasons. The green cotton napkin came from Pier 1 several years ago. It is one of my favorite green colors, I call it Spring Green. I can’t remember where I bought the white ceramic bunny napkin rings. I love those floppy ears! To read about the What, Where and How of napkin rings please click here.

I found these green glass bunny place card holders on Ebay a few weeks ago. They were originally sold by Williams Sonoma. To read about the What, Where and When of place card holders, please click here.

The spiral green glass goblet on the left came from Pier 1 several years ago. I use this goblet often on my tablescapes. The white glass goblet on the right came from Overstock online a couple of months ago. They are called Classic Touch by Alice Pazkus. I have a smaller white goblet but I wanted a taller one and I really like these. This centerpiece bunny came from Pottery Barn several years ago. I added some faux grass and a few Easter eggs and set him on a green Rhodes drink dispenser stand that I bought at Pottery Barn several years ago.

I can’t remember where I bought this cute white bunny salt and pepper set. I added it to the table setting, on one side of the centerpiece, just for fun.

I added this small white bunny on the other side of the centerpiece for balance. I can’t remember where I found him either.

I can’t believe how fast the year is passing, Easter will soon be here!

A Vintage Yellow Spring Tablescape

This is a really simple tablescape using all vintage items except the yellow roses and maybe the salt and pepper, not sure of their age. I bought the yellow damask tablecloth and matching napkins on Ebay a few years ago. I always look for sets that are still in the box even though sometimes I can tell that they have been used anyway and put back in the box. The tablecloth and napkins are a pretty yellow color but most of the photos in this post don’t show the colors accurately. The photo of the napkin by itself shows the true colors.

The pattern of this yellow Depression Glass is called Florentine No. 2, or Poppy No. 2. It was made by the Hazel Atlas Glass Company probably between 1932 and 1937. Hubby found it all at an estate sale last year on the last day for a really good price. I love this small sherbet. I probably won’t keep this dish set but it makes a pretty table setting.

I don’t use glass plates often on my tablescapes because they are really difficult to photograph unless you put them on a tablecloth with the same color as I did here. Even so, the yellow color got washed out in some of these photos. Stacking the salad plate on the dinner plate does help a bit.

These are really delicate looking dishes and the yellow tablecloth underneath this dinner plate really helps show the color.

This photo would have been so much better if the tablecloth had shown as the right color, oh well… This sterling flatware was my mother’s wedding sterling. It was made by Towle starting in 1928 and the design was called Chased Diana. I love the plain design with a simple border. I remember it from my childhood when my mother entertained company.

This is the true color of the yellow damask tablecloth and the yellow napkins. I was lucky to find a matching set together on Ebay. Vintage linens are often smaller in size. I usually try to buy 20 inch napkins and these napkins are 14 inches. I have a large table and this tablecloth just fits with a few inches left over the sides.

Hubby bought these vintage yellow glass goblets with etched flowers and leaves at an estate sale last year too. I didn’t realize that I had two different patterns until I took photos. I don’t know the pattern names. If anyone recognizes either pattern, please let me know.

I found the vintage yellow vase on Ebay a few years ago. It is impressed with the letters USA on the bottom. I filled it with a bouquet of faux yellow roses. I have a few plastic bins full of different faux flowers that I have gathered over the years to use on my tablescapes. ( I actually had Hubby buy these faux flowers last week because I didn’t have any yellow roses.)

This rose bowl is one of my most cherished possessions. It sits in one of my china cabinets for protection but I add it to my vintage tablescapes once in a while. It was my mother’s, I think it was a wedding gift to her in 1938. I can remember it sitting on a shelf while I was growing up. I love the hand-painted flowers. The bottom says, “Made in Czechoslovakia”.

I’m not sure how old this yellow ceramic salt and pepper set is. I was looking for a yellow set and this one popped up on Ebay a few weeks ago. (A secret, they both arrived in pieces but Hubby glued them back together so I would have them for this tablescape.)

A Leprechaun St. Patrick's Day Tablescape

Time for one more St. Patrick’s Day tablescape. I found this tablecloth last year on Amazon. Black is not really a St. Patrick’s Day color but the kelly green and black combination is striking so I bought it. I used it on a tablescape last year too. You can see that tablescape here.

I found these small green melamine shamrock plates on Wayfair last year but I didn’t have a chance to use them then. I like the simple shamrock design. They are really the size of an appetizer or tidbit plate rather than a salad plate. They don’t have a maker mark on the back but I think I saw them recently on Amazon made by UPware.

Trenblay Black Salad Plate

I bought these black melamine salad plates online at Home Depot last summer. They were part of their Home Decorator Collection and they were made by Trenblay. An unusual plate design that is appearing more often now.

Fiesta Shamrock Dinner Plate

The salad plate is sitting on a Fiesta dinner plate in the color Shamrock. If you read my blog you have seen Fiesta plates in various colors and sizes on my tablescapes many times. I have had these plates for several years. I bought them at Fiesta online I think. This color has been discontinued but you can still find some dishes in this color online. I love kelly green and this is one of my favorite green dinner plates. I use them often in the Spring and at Christmas time. Starburst Charge It Jay Charger

This black glass Starburst charger is called Charge It and it was made by Jay. I bought them several years ago on Amazon. They are heavy glass and work well with many different color schemes. A black charger is a good starter charger plate if you are thinking about starting a tablescaping hobby. I also bought some chargers at the Dollar Store and spray-painted them black because I wanted a simple black charger design. This bright green placemat probably came from Pier 1 several years ago before our store closed. I have several of these placemats in several different colors. This bright green color is one of my favorites. If you read my blog you saw it on last week’s St. Patrick’s Day tablescape.

I wanted leprechaun napkin rings for this tablescape so I googled leprechaun napkin ring and I found these metal enamel leprechaun napkin rings on Amazon last month. They have a cute design, I like happy faces. These black cotton napkins came from Crate and Barrel two years ago. I have some black napkins but I wanted some that hadn’t faded out. I knew that I wanted a leprechaun themed place card holder and I figured that I wouldn’t be able to find one so I looked on Etsy for leprechauns to see if there was anything I could use as a place card holder. He has such a cute attitude! I love his shoes!

I love this goblet combination! If you read my blog you saw it on last week’s tablescape too. The green goblet on the left came from Macy’s two years ago. The name is Qualia Glass Meridian. I like the height and the beautiful green color. I bought the green goblet on the right at Pier 1 several years ago before our store closed. These goblets are a good match for each other. Johanna Parker Leprechaun Canister

I have a thing for Johanna Parker holiday designs and when I saw this cute leprechaun canister on Ebay last month I knew I had to buy it. It was part of her Carnival Cottage St. Patrick’s Day collection. To add more height, I set it on a small black glass cake stand that I have. I think I found the cake stand at HomeGoods several years ago.

This creamer and sugar set is also from Johanna Parker’s Carnival Cottage St. Patrick’s Day collection. I found the set on Mercari last month. I have a weakness for holiday designs on serving pieces!

This cute leprechaun salt and pepper set came from Amazon last month. It was made by Collections, Etc.

I do like the combination of black and green on this St. Patrick’s Day tablescape. It really catches my eye!

A St. Patrick's Day Tablescape

I found this green shamrocks tablecloth at HomeGoods last month. It’s a bit busy but I knew I could tone it down with solid colors.

I used these shamrock plates on a tablescape five years ago but I wasn’t blogging then so I decided to try to use them again. I am not sure where I found them and they aren’t labeled. They are deep enough that they could be used for soup or stew also.

This green dinner plate was called Fun Factory and it was made by Waechtersbach, the color was Green Apple. I have had them for several years and I can’t remember where I bought them. Matching all the greens on this table setting was a bit of a challenge. I tried three other dinner plates of various green shades before I settled on this one. This white charger is one of the first charger sets I bought when I started tablescaping. The pattern is Antique Beaded and I bought them at Williams Sonoma several years ago. I use this charger constantly on my table settings. If you look back through my blog at my tablescapes, you will see it often. A simple white charger is a great first purchase if you want to create more interest in your table settings. I realized that I didn’t have a dark green napkin so I found these last month at World Market online. I have bought several napkin sets from them over the years. The color is Eden Green I think. The centerpiece for this table went through a change. My sister-in-law was here while I was creating this tablescape and it was great to bounce ideas off of her. We had a good time, two heads are better than one! After talking with her I changed out the centerpiece for this tablescape and the other centerpiece will be on next week’s tablescape. Two years ago I googled large shamrock and I found this wood one on Etsy. I actually bought three and Hubby glued them together so they would be thicker and he made a stand for them. The shamrock came unfinished and Hubby first painted it gold for me for one tablescape and then last year I decided I wanted green to match a St. Patrick’s Day tablescape that I did so he painted it green. When you are out and about looking for tablescaping items keep in mind that you can usually paint anything a different color if necessary. I wanted a bit more height so I set it on an upside-down Circle Depression Glass small bowl.
