A Quack-tastic Easter Tablescape

My tablescaping has gotten short shrift the past few weeks because I am working on a genealogy project for a friend. I pulled this Easter tablescape together but I ran out of time to tweak it a bit. I have come to realize that I like using tablecloths on my tablescapes that have a design on them, solid colors just look too plain to me. I am in the middle of inventorying all my tablecloths and I went looking for a baby blue one and I didn’t have one so I found this polyester one on Amazon. My phone camera has done a number on the baby blue and mauve colors on this tablescape. They are showing weird in some of the photos. I love Mr. Christmas ceramic holiday salad plates. The vintage designs are so cute and these duckies in a basket are perfect. I Iove the blue bows and the bonnet. I bought these plates a few at a time as I saw them on Ebay.

The baby blue color on this Fiesta dinner plate is so much better than this photo shows. I think I have all the Fiesta colors now in dinner plates and I just bought this year’s new color lavender. I didn’t have any dinner plates in that color. I probably bought these baby blue plates at Everything Kitchens online because they have Fiesta sales from time to time.

This charger is actually more of a mauve color than this photo shows. They were made by Mikasa and the pattern was called Color Spectrum in Rose Blush. I bought them on Ebay several years ago.

This flatware came from Villeroy and Boch online several years ago. I had been looking for yellow flatware for a long time and I was delighted to find this set, the handles are some kind of plastic. The pattern was called Play! The spoons are tiny and the set didn’t come with a salad fork but I like the bright yellow color. I can’t remember where I bought these mauve napkins (yes, they are different from what this photo shows)! I couldn’t find a yellow duck napkin ring so I took a small white duck place card holder that I had and Hubby painted them yellow for me and I attached them temporarily to a white napkin ring that I had. I can’t remember where I bought the napkin rings or the place card holders.

I bought these vintage yellow duck place card holders on Ebay. They came with two different poses. They are full of crazing but I still like them. I think the crazing looks like feathers!

I used the same goblets this week that I used on last week’s tablescape. We found the blue glass goblet on the left at Michael’s a few years ago. I was looking for a light blue glass goblet and these were perfect. I found the pink glass goblet at Pottery Barn a few years ago. The pattern was called Arlo. I found this duckie centerpiece at HomeGoods and I knew that it would be a perfect match for the duckie salad plates.

I can’t remember where I found these small fuzzy ducks.

A Hoppy Easter Tablescape

When I saw these Easter Egg appetizer plates I had to buy them. I decided to buy the matching table runner too. I love the touches of pink, blue, and green and the brown bunnies on them. I also used a sage green tablecloth that I bought several years ago on this tablescape. It was a perfect match for the green color in the runner. I found these egg shaped Botanical Bunny stoneware appetizer plates at Pottery Barn online.

I decided that I wanted the plate stack on this table to be a combination of pink, green and blue. I had the other plates but I didn’t have a pink salad plate so I looked on Amazon and I found these Ruxmirae pink stoneware salad plates. They have a very slight speckled finish on them but the pink color is what shows.

I am using my Fiesta dinner plates in the color Sky on this plate stack. It is a good match for the bunny plates and the runner. I bought them at Everything Kitchens online because they sometimes have a sale on Fiesta dishes.

I bought these iced glass sage green colored chargers at Pier 1 several years ago after I saw them on another blog. I love using them in the spring and the fall. To read about what you should be considering when you are buying chargers click here.

This cream colored flatware set was made by D & D Inox in Italy. I bought it at Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales during a major sale a few years ago. I love this flatware pattern, I have it in a few other colors as well. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here.

The bright pink cotton napkins probably came from Amazon. I wanted a brown bunny napkin ring so I looked on Etsy and I found these 3-D printed bunnies in an online shop in England. I remembered that I had these bunny place card holders and I knew that they would work on this table setting. I bought them on Ebay several years ago. I found a few at a time until I had a set. We found this resin brown bunny at Hobby Lobby. It looked a bit too plain on this table so as a decoration I added a couple of stretch bead bracelets that I found on Amazon. I set the bunny in a cream and green colored basket that I had and I raised it all up a bit with an upside down small bowl. I like the bunny’s eyes and big ears.

Bunnies and Carrots on a Spring Easter Tablescape

Some of my tablescapes that I have created over the years are ones that I go back and look at again and again because they are favorites and this is one of them. I posted it a few years ago and it was a variation of one that I did in 2019. You can see that tablescape here. I made several changes to it and you can see how I changed the style and feel of the tablescape from that tablescape to this tablescape. I found the tablecloth at HomeGoods a few years ago. It was made by Three Little Bunnies, Farmer’s Market. I bought the matching napkins too but I decided not to use them on this table setting because the tablecloth is so busy and I wanted some solid color to break it up a bit.

When I found the carrots tablecloth I remembered that I had these plates with bunnies and carrots on them so I decided to do a bunnies and carrots Easter table setting. I found these melamine bunny salad plates at HomeGoods several years ago. They are labeled L N T, LinensNThings. I love the fluffy brown bunny, all the flowers, and the egg shape of the plate.

Fiesta Shamrock Dinner Plate

I love the green color on these Fiesta dinners plates, the color is called Shamrock. (This color has been discontinued.) I have this dinner plate in many different colors and I use them frequently on my plate stacks. I probably bought them at Macy’s online or the Fiesta site online. I have had them for several years. I picked this plate for this table setting because it matches the green on the tablecloth. You can read about what you need to think about when you are buying dinner plates here.

This white charger is my Antique Beaded charger from Williams Sonoma that I bought several years ago. It is often my go to charger when I need a white charger.

Frosted Green Madeline Flatware

Seems like every time I use this frosted green flatware I get questions and comments about it. The pattern is called Madeline Green and I bought it at World Market several years ago. If you google frosted flatware and add the color you are looking for you will find similar sets. I use this green flatware often during Spring and Fall. I think these orange and green cotton napkins probably came from Pier 1 or HomeGoods several years ago. I picked these colors because they matched the tablecloth and they reminded me of carrots. I found the bunny napkin rings on Amazon a few years ago. I wanted a bunny holding a carrot napkin ring and there these were!

I smile every time I see these metal carrot place card holders. I found them on Ebay after doing a Google search for carrot place card holders. They popped right out.

Qualia Green Meridian Goblet

The green goblet on the left came from Macy’s a few years ago. The pattern is called Qualia Glass Meridian. I like the height and the beautiful green color. I think I bought the orange goblets on the right at Ross or T.J. Maxx many years ago. They were some of the first goblets that I bought when I started tablescaping. When I bought them I figured I wouldn’t use them that often but I am surprised at how often they appear on my tablescapes. They are a great match for all the carrots on this tablescape. I have had this bunny figure for many years and I can’t remember where it came from but I think I bought it with a similar one online somewhere. When the kids were living at home I used to do major decorating for all holidays. The bunny is sitting on a green drink dispenser stand that I bought at Pottery Barn many years ago.

When I was searching for bunnies and carrots on Amazon a few years ago I found these two sets of salt and peppers and I couldn’t resist buying them for this tablescape. This one was made by Cosmos Gifts. Hubby says this set is the best part of this tablescape. Lol!

I love the green and orange color combination on this tablescape, it is perfect for Spring!

A Hat's the Luck St. Patrick's Day Tablescape

I started thinking about this tablescape a few months ago and I finally pulled it all together this week. I have done so many shamrock themed St. Patrick’s Day tablescapes that I wanted to do something different this week. I found the leprechaun hat tablecloth at Spoonflower online. I keep saying that their tablecloths are too expensive and I am not going to buy them anymore but no other store has the wide selection of designs that they do. I have been inventorying my collection of vintage tablecloths from the 1940’s and 1950’s lately and rationalizing that my Spoonflower tablecloths will last that long too. Maybe someday some of my future great-granddaughters will fight over them…I can only hope!

I looked for a salad plate with a leprechaun hat on it for weeks with no luck. So I did what I often do and I found small green leprechaun hat cabochons on Etsy to put on a green and white salad plate. These ceramic green and white plates were made by Grace Teaware and I bought them at HomeGoods last year. I have set small items on a salad plate before when I couldn’t find the right plate design to carry out my theme.

These white dinner plates are made by Fiesta and I bought them online somewhere. I think I have Fiesta dinner plates in just about all the colors that they sell now. They introduce a new color every year and I am waiting to buy some dinner plates in their new Lavender color later this month. Fiesta dinner plates are perfect to use as a solid color plate on your plate stack. If you read my blog you will see them often.

Hubby bought these resin chargers at the Dollar Store a couple of years ago and then spray-painted them Kelly Green for me so that I could use them on a Christmas tablescape. This is such an easy and inexpensive way to find a charger to match your tablescape design. I have Dollar Store chargers now in several colors that Hubby has painted for me.

I wanted another set of black flatware that was all black and different from my Ginkgo International LePrix black flatware set to use on my Halloween tablescapes and I found this set a few years ago on sale at Macy’s online. It was made by Lenox and the pattern is called Portola. I love the simple design and the shiny black color. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here.

I can’t remember where I bought these green cotton napkins but I love the primary green color. When I am looking for tablescaping items to use on a themed tablescape I often search Etsy online. I like to support small family owned businesses and I often find just what I am looking for on that site. I found these small crocheted leprechaun hats there. I just love them! I attached them with masking tape temporarily to a white ceramic napkin ring that I have. To read about the What, Where, and How of napkin rings please click here.

These green glass goblets and iced teas are made by Mosser Glass in the United States. The pattern is called Arlington and the color is Hunter Green. They are really heavy glass and very good quality. I have bought a few pieces at a time over the years online where I can find them at the lowest price. I also have this pattern in red and cobalt blue. I bought these Luminara flameless pillar leprechaun hat candles at Luminara online. I love Luminara candles, the flame on real candles has always made me feel very nervous about fires so I loved it when these flameless candles were invented. Besides, there is no problem with melting wax!

I found this leprechaun hat stack resin statue at HomeGoods and I was so delighted when I saw it. I knew it would be a perfect centerpiece on this tablescape! I love the stacked hats and the gold coins. It adds a bit of whimsy to the table.

I have been thinking about my mother today. She would have loved this tablescape. She liked to entertain and friendships were important to her. Once she made a friend, she kept them for her entire life.
