A Winter White Tablescape

Out of the Winter’s Chill

My daughter wanted to have a dinner party at our house for her friends who live nearby. She had an idea about the tablescape she wanted to do, a winter theme with all white. We tweaked the idea a bit and settled on white and gray with silver and glass accents. I found the tall glass compote at an estate sale and my husband bought it for me for one of my Valentine’s Day presents. My daughter arranged the flowers, she did an amazing job! My daughter’s friend made the darling cookies, they were a great hit with everyone! I found the two crystal candelabras at a local consignment store. They both had been mended so I got a really good deal on them. The candles were amazing, they never dripped. I need to find out who makes them and I will add it here later.

It was a bit cozy but just enough room.

The small silver snowflakes are actually place card holders that we decided not to use. I can’t remember where I bought them or the snowflake napkin rings but you can find similar ones online. The white beaded charger came from Williams-Sonoma a few years ago and is called Antique Beaded. We used my daughter’s china, the pattern is called St. Moritz by Wedgewood. The goblets are my daughter’s as well, the pattern is Kelsey by Waterford. The flatware is Vietri Aladdin in gray and I got it on sale at Bloomingdale's.  During the year they sometimes have really great sales on their flatware. I love the frosted color and the weave design. The silver placemats probably came from Pier 1 a few years ago. I found the snowflake tablecloth and the dotted napkins at HomeGoods a few years ago. I love the way the shiny placemats, napkin rings, and snowflakes on the tablecloth all work together. One of our most favorite tablescapes so far!
