A Go for the Gold Turkey Tablescape for Thanksgiving
I did this tablescape a couple years ago and decided to post it again for new readers. I have had these small turkey tureens for a long time. I found them on Ebay and I finally bought the matching salad plates and dinner plates on Ebay too. I still need a few more of the tureens but one shows up only once or twice a year on Ebay so buying a full set will take some time. Unfortunately the gold color doesn’t photograph well. The dishes, tablecloth, and napkins are a warm gold color and the color gets washed out in some of these photos. This photo is actually the best representation of the color and it still isn’t completely accurate. I found the tablecloth and napkins on Amazon a few years ago and I was delighted when they came and matched the dishes perfectly.
The turkey tureens, salad plates, and dinner plates were all made by Bordallo Pinheiro in Portugal. I have several different patterns made by this company and I love the raised designs and details.
The turkeys and acorns around the borders of these plates are perfect for the season.
The bronze hammered charger plates came from Williams Sonoma a few years ago. I really like the hammered design and they are a nice weight.
I bought this inexpensive set of gold flatware when I first started tablescaping. I can’t remember where it came from but I need to replace it with something of better quality eventually. (I have since bought a much nicer set.)
I’ve had these gold napkin rings for a long time. I can’t remember where they came from but it was probably Pier 1. I’m not sure where I found the gold napkin rings either.
I used these amber goblets on another Thanksgiving tablescape, you can see them here. I bought them at Pier 1 several years ago on sale. I love how tall they are, they will replace some that I bought several years ago that are much shorter. The brown goblet was made by Lenox between 1966 and 1985. It was called Antique Brown. I bought them on Ebay several years ago.
I bought the metal leaf place card holder online several years ago, can’t remember where.
The matching candle holders came from Ebay also.
I can’t remember where I found this turkey centerpiece. I love the different textures and colors.
This is one of my favorite Thanksgiving tablescapes.
