A Candy Corn Halloween Tablescape

This Candy Corn Halloween Tablescape has been about three years in the making. I came up with the idea a few years ago but it has taken me this long to find everything that I wanted for the table. I can’t remember where I bought the polyester orange checked tablecloth.

This melamine candy corn salad plate is labeled Place Time but I can’t remember where I bought it. If you google candy corn plate several similar ones will pop up.

This is a Fiesta dinner plate in the color Poppy, a perfect color for a Halloween tablescape. I can’t remember where I bought it online but if you google it, there are several sources where it can be purchased. I have this plate in several different colors and I use this style often on my plate stacks when I need a simple solid color dinner plate.

This is a Color Spectrum charger by Mikasa, the color is Sun Yellow. I bought these chargers on Ebay a few at a time over the years as I saw them because I love the quality and the selection of colors on these chargers. I have them in several colors now and I use them often.

This orange flatware is labeled Mepra Inox and the pattern is called Fantasia. We bought it on sale at Houzz online a few months ago but several stores sell it. I also have this flatware in blue and yellow. It comes in several other colors also and it is difficult to find flatware sets in different colors so I have my eye on a few other colors as well when it goes on sale again. I think these orange cotton napkins probably came from Pier 1 or HomeGoods several years ago. I love the bright orange color, it’s a perfect color for a Halloween tablescape. I found the candy corn napkin rings on Ebay last month and I was so happy when I found them!

I knew that I could use these small plastic candy corn boxes as place card holders. I set them on small clear glass place card holders that I often use as bases for other place card holders. I bought these candy corn boxes at Oriental Trading online a few years ago.

I think I bought the orange goblet on the left at Ross or T.J. Maxx several years ago. They were some of the first goblets that I bought when I started tablescaping. When I bought them I figured I wouldn’t use them that often but I am surprised at how often they appear on my tablescapes. It can be difficult to find yellow glass goblets that don’t have a gold tint to them so when I saw these yellow goblets on Etsy a few years ago I immediately bought them. I found the two large candy corns at HomeGoods a few months ago but they looked very different when I bought them. They were a distressed color and they had some twine decorating them. Hubby repainted them for me. I found the smaller ones on Ebay I think. They actually have jack o’ lantern faces on the other side.

I really like the bright colors on this Halloween tablescape.

Autumn Leaves on a Fall Tablescape

This Autumn Leaves Tablescape includes the dishes that I used on a similar tablescape in 2020 and then before that on another tablescape that I did in 2015 but I have reworked the rest of it a bit and I used some different elements this time. The falling leaves tablecloth came from HomeGoods several years ago. I have the matching napkins but I decided not to use them on this table setting because the tablecloth is busy. The three different colors of the dishes on the table were dictated by the colors of the leaves on the tablecloth.

These small leaf shaped bowls are some of my favorite bowls. I found them at Sur La Table several years ago and it was serendipity and great luck that they match the plates exactly!

The dinner and salad plates came from Pier 1 several years ago and they were part of their Spice Route collection. Pier 1 called the colors; clove, ginger, and paprika. I really like the beaded design around the rim of the plates.

The salad plate and the dinner plate are the same pattern except the dinner plate is larger in size.

I bought these gold colored glass chargers many years ago and I can’t remember where. I remember that I bought them a few at a time over several months until I had twelve because they were expensive. They are heavy glass and this is actually the first time that I have used them! I have pulled them out many many times to use on a table setting and they never looked right until now. The charger edge reminds me of leaves.

This amber flatware was made by D & D Inox in Italy. I bought it online at Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales during a major sale many years ago. I liked this pattern and it was a really good sale so I have the same pattern in cream, wine red, and dark aqua. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here.

The napkins all came from World Market many years ago when I first started tablescaping. They are the perfect colors for Fall tablescapes. and perfect matches for the dishes, and the leaves on the tablecloth. The metal leaf napkin rings in different colors were made by Park Designs but I can’t remember where I found them online.

When I saw these natural wood leaves I knew that I could use them as place card holders after Hubby painted them to match the dishes. I can’t remember where they came from but it might have been Michael’s.

The green acrylic goblet on the left came from HomeGoods a few years ago. The amber glass goblet on the right came from Z Gallerie online a few years ago. I love that they have the same shape but one is taller than the other one. I was looking for a long wooden box that I could use as a centerpiece and when I found one that I liked on Etsy the cost for shipping it was ridiculous so I showed the photo to Hubby and he built this one for me a few years ago. He also built another one that is a bit larger too. I filled the box with faux pumpkins and gourds and leaves that I have collected over the years and I added two orange candles. When I started tablescaping, I bought lots of candles in all different colors and sizes so I would have them when I needed them. I usually find them on Amazon or at HomeGoods. I asked Hubby to match the finish on the wooden box with the color of my Stickley hutch and I think he did a great job!

In Southern California we only have a few trees that change color but this tablescape really reminds me of Fall.

White Pumpkins on a Fall Tablescape

Cooler weather will be here before we know it and it will be time for some soup. I have created Fall tablescapes before with orange mini-pumpkin soup tureens but I decided to use white ones this year. I found the beige tablecloth at HomeGoods a few years ago. It has a slight brown tweed design and I like using it on Fall tablescapes. This is a more traditional tablescape than the themed ones that I usually create. I like themed based tablescapes because I think that they require more creative thinking and they are more unique. I also love researching where to find the items that I need for each table.

I have had these small white soup tureen bowls for many years. I bought them at Sur La Table online.

I looked for a ceramic white pumpkin salad plate for several years and I couldn’t find one that I liked until I found these salad plates at World Market online earlier this year.

This is a Fiesta White dinner plate. I found them on sale in Salt Lake City on a trip there a couple of years ago. I love this pattern and I have this dinner plate in several different colors.

I bought these woven pumpkin shaped place mats at Pottery Barn online a few years ago at the end of the season when they went on sale. I knew that they would be a great place mat for Fall tablescapes.

I found these metal white pumpkin napkin rings on Amazon a few weeks ago and the Decorative Things cotton pumpkin napkins came from there last week as well. I wanted to used more neutral colors on this table setting and these napkins were a great find.

I can’t remember where I found these white pumpkin place card holders. I think I bought them online somewhere a few years ago.

I can’t remember where the acrylic amber iced tea goblet on the left came from, I have had them for a while. I can’t remember where I bought the amber glass goblet on the right either, if anyone recognizes the pattern, please let me know. This tablescape is one of those that has been in the back of my mind for a long long time. I knew I had the small white soup tureens but I have been looking for a centerpiece for a while. When I saw this large white stoneware soup tureen at Pottery Barn online a few months ago I knew that it would be the perfect centerpiece for this Fall tablescape. I love the matching soup ladle too. I found the fall garland on Amazon last week.

I can’t remember where I found these amber glass candlesticks, I have had them for a few years, but I love their warm color. I remembered them when I was putting the goblets on the table and I knew they would be a great addition to the table.

I am ready for some Fall weather!

A Fall Sunflower Tablescape

I did a Sunflowers Tablescape for Fall last year. This Sunflower tablescape uses just a few of the elements from that tablescape. I will post a photo of last year’s tablescape at the end of this post for comparison. I bought the Sunflowers Tablecloth on Amazon several years ago. It has a label that says ColorBird.

I love the bold design and bright yellow color on this sunflower dinner plate. The back is marked Market Square. I can’t remember where they came from but if you google sunflower dinner plate there are lots online.

This is a Mikasa Color Spectrum Charger in the color Alpine White. I have this charger in several different colors and I bought them all on Ebay as I saw them over a few years. The Internet says that this pattern was only made between 1992 and 1993. I am not sure that is true but in any case they are no longer being manufactured. I have been trying to get six of this color and pattern for years with no success until this past spring when suddenly I found six at different places online after occasional google searches. You need to have patience when you are looking for things for tablescaping, that’s for sure!

This brown place mat probably came from Pier 1 several years ago. I have this place mat in many different colors.

This amber flatware was made by D & D Inox in Italy. I bought it online at Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales during a major sale several years ago. I really liked this pattern and it was a really good sale so I have the same pattern in cream, wine red, and dark aqua. When I looked at the sunflower dinner plate with its brown center I immediately thought of this flatware set. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here.

The sunflower napkin rings came from Amazon and I can’t remember where I found the brown cotton napkins.

I found these sunflower filled small bottles on Amazon last year and I set them on a brown wood place card holder that I had. I can’t remember where I bought them.

I have gathered a good collection of faux flowers over the years and I can’t remember where I bought these faux sunflowers but Amazon, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby always have them. I put them in a Fiesta vase, the vase color is called Daffodil. I love this vase and I have it in a few different colors.

This ceramic sunflower salt and pepper set came from Amazon last year. I set them on the side of the centerpiece.
