Christmas Trees on a Christmas Tablescape

This is the second Christmas Tree themed tablescape that I have done. I did a different one two years ago with a few of the same elements but this table setting is different. You can see that tablescape here. This tablecloth came from Amazon a few years ago. If you read my blog you know that my favorite Christmas colors are red and green and I always create one or two tablescapes at Christmas time using those colors. They were my mother’s favorite Christmas colors and using them during the holiday season reminds me of her. I like the small green Christmas trees on this red plaid tablecloth. I often use a red plaid or red gingham tablecloth during the Christmas season.

I had been looking for a Christmas Tree shaped salad plate that I liked for several years and last year I got lucky. Both Target and Michaels were selling this Christmas Tree salad plate. I love the shape, the different colors, and the yellow star on top. The back of the plate says 90 Years of Holiday Magic, Mr. Christmas, 1933 - 2023.

These red dinner plates are made by Fiesta and the color is Scarlet. This pattern and color are actually our every day dishes and I use them often on my Christmas tablescapes. You can read about what you need to think about when you are buying dinner plates here.

Hubby bought these chargers at the Dollar Store last year and spray-painted them Kelly Green for me so that I could use them on my Christmas tablescapes.

This Milano Red flatware is Ginkgo International LePrix. I have had this set for years but it is still for sale. Not sure where I bought it. I now have it in other colors as well. I found these Christmas Tree napkin rings on Amazon a couple of years ago. I like the small red balls on them. The green polyester napkins also came from Amazon a few years ago. When I am looking for something for my tablescapes I google whatever it is and something perfect often pops out. I do most of my tablescape shopping online. I had been looking for a darker green glass goblet for quite a while and I finally decided to buy these green glass goblets on the left several years ago. They are made by Mosser Glass in the U.S.. They are a bit shorter than I usually buy but I love the color. The pattern is called Arlington and the color is Hunter Green. I bought them a few at a time over several months. They are really heavy glass and very good quality. The red goblet on the right is called Fortessa Carousel. I bought them several years ago online but I can’t remember where. This Christmas Tree cookie jar centerpiece came from Pier 1 online a couple of years ago. I put it on a red drink dispenser stand from Pottery Barn to give it a bit more height.

I bought this Mosser Glass Panel Hunter Green salt and pepper set online at Everything Kitchens last year.

I decided to also add a Mosser Glass red salt and pepper set to this tablescape. I bought this set online at The Vermont Country Store a couple of years ago. The Mosser Glass Company was established in 1971 and it is located in Cambridge, Ohio. They sell high quality American made glassware and I love their products. I have a few sets of their goblets and a few cake stands too.

I love mixing red and green together on a tablescape at Christmas time!

Elves on a Christmas Tablescape

This Elves tablescape has been over a year in the making. I bought the napkin rings last year and then spent months looking for everything else. The tablecloth came from Spoonflower online a few months ago. My favorite Christmas colors to decorate with are a true Christmas Red and Kelly Green so I was looking for those colors.

These elf shoe appetizer plates were made by Boston Warehouse and they are marked 2005. I bought them on Ebay last year. There are three different color designs. I love the gold bells and all the stripes and polka dots!

This dinner plate was made by Fiesta and the color is Shamrock. It is one of my favorite green dinner plates, I love the bright green color. Unfortunately this color has been discontinued but you may still be able to find them on the secondary market. I love the design of this dinner plate, I have it in other colors as well. This charger came from the Dollar Store last year and Hubby spray-painted it red for me. I love this bright red color. I can’t remember what the original color was. To read about what you should be considering when you are buying chargers, please click here.

I found these cute plastic elf napkin rings on Etsy last year. I bought three boy elves and three girl elves. I found the green napkins on Amazon a few years ago.

It was a struggle to find an elf place card holder and I finally settled on this elf toy. It is actually a small car with wheels. I just set them on a Oleg Cassini clear glass place card holder. I bought the place card holders at HomeGoods several years ago when I first started tablescaping. They are heavy and solid and I really like the simple design. The green goblet on the left came from Macy’s a few years ago. The pattern is Qualia Glass Meridian. I like the height and the beautiful green color. I think the red glass goblet on the right came from Crate and Barrel a few years ago. I had been looking for some simple red goblets and grabbed these when I saw them online. When we travel out of state we always seem to eat at Cracker Barrel a few times. I love their gift shop area and when I discovered that they have an online store I was really happy. From time to time I check their web store and I discovered this elf cookie jar a few months ago. I had been looking for some kind of elf centerpiece for a year and I quickly bought it! I set it on a red drink dispenser stand that I bought at Pottery Barn several years ago to give it a bit more height.

When I saw the matching elf salt and pepper set I bought them as well. They remind me of the pixie figures that were popular in the 50’s.

I found this three piece elf set online at Walmart. I bought two sets, one for each side of the centerpiece. I like their cute little faces and the bright colors.

It can’t be Christmas without a few elves wandering around!

More Turkeys on a Thanksgiving Tablescape

I decided to do just one more Thanksgiving tablescape before I moved on to Christmas. I found this burnt orange polyester leaves tablecloth on Amazon several years ago. I really liked it and it was a great price so I bought it in three other fall colors. You can see the gold one on a gold Thanksgiving tablescape that I did a few years ago here.

When I saw these earthenware turkey salad plates at Sur La Table online a few years ago, I really liked them and so I bought them. The colors are different from many of the turkey plates that I have seen before. There was a matching dinner plate but I didn’t buy it because that design didn’t go all around the plate and the salad plate would have covered most of it. Kind of a waste of money I thought.

This dinner plate came from Pottery Barn several years ago. It is part of their Cambria stoneware dinnerware and the color is turquoise. This plate is large enough that it could be used as a charger as well. I like plates that have that versatility. I ended up buying this plate in a few other colors over the years. I didn’t add a charger to this tablescape because I didn’t have one that matched everything on the table well enough. You don’t always need to add a charger to your table setting.

I bought this frosted white flatware on sale online at Wayfair several years ago, it was made by Cambridge. It is 18/0 so the fork tines are a bit sharper than I would like but I really liked the frosted color. Wayfair has really good sales on flatware sometimes. Frosted flatware is really popular right now and a Google search will turn up several patterns and colors. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here. You can see the raised design on the tablecloth in this photo. The thread design shines a bit.

This turkey napkin ring is one of my favorite napkin rings. It was one of the first napkin rings that I bought when I started tablescaping several years ago. The bottom says, “j. willfred, a division of the Charles Sadek Import Company, Inc.”. I bought them online but I can’t remember where. I bought these cotton Aspen Organic Spice Orange napkins at Crate and Barrel online last year. I wanted to have some napkins to match the goblets on this tablescape. I really like this deep rich color and it photographs well on this tablescape. They are almost a perfect match for the color of this tablecloth.

I found these Department 56 ceramic turkey place card holders on Mercari last year. I have a few other sets of turkey place card holders but these were colorful and it’s difficult to find turkeys so I grabbed them.

This burnt orange goblet on the left, in the photos, looks like it is a shade of purple but it a really pretty burnt orange color. I found them at HomeGoods a few years ago. They had six and I grabbed them fast! When I see a goblet in an unusual color that I know I can use, I buy them! The goblet on the right is a light blue color. I have this goblet in glass or plastic in several different colors. I bought them online several years ago but I can’t remember where.

I found these faux fall flowers at Hobby Lobby on sale a few years ago. I set them in a large white pottery vase, one of a pair of identical white pottery vases that I inherited from my mother. She received them as a wedding present in 1938.

A Brown and White Thanksgiving Tablescape

I have had these brown and white turkey dinner plates for a while and when I found the white turkey tureen a few years ago I knew it was time to pull a table setting together.

I didn’t have a brown tablecloth but I found one on Amazon. I really wanted a table setting with only two colors this time.

Sorry about the glare on the plate, to get enough light I have to deal with the reflection of the light. These dinner plates were made by Spode and the pattern is called Celebration. I think I bought them at HomeGoods a few years ago. I like the profile of this large turkey and the flower border.

The white charger is one of the first charger sets I bought when I started tablescaping. The pattern is Antique Beaded and I bought them at Williams Sonoma several years ago. I use this charger constantly in my table settings. If you look back through my blog at my tablescapes, you will see it often. A simple white charger is a great first purchase if you want to create more interest in your table settings.

It’s difficult to see on top of the brown tablecloth but this flatware is a smoky brown color. The camera makes them look much darker in color than they really are. The handles are some kind of plastic material. They are marked SR Showroom Italy. I bought them online somewhere several years ago but I can’t remember where. They are really large and well made.

The clear goblet on the right is my wedding crystal, the pattern is Lismore made by Waterford. I also have sherbets, candlesticks and some serving pieces in this pattern. The pattern was released in 1952 and it is still in production. I love it. The brown goblet on the left was made by Lenox between 1966 and 1985. It was called Antique Brown. I bought them on Ebay several years ago.

The brown napkins probably came from World Market several years ago. They almost match the tablecloth, close enough. I was looking for a white turkey napkin ring and found these on Ebay a few years ago.

The brown metal turkey place card holder can also be a napkin ring. You can’t see the ring behind the turkey. I have had them for several years. I think they came from Crate and Barrel or Pottery Barn. The white salt and pepper set came from Pottery Barn a few years ago. I already had the leaf tea light candle holders, not sure where I found them.

This white turkey tureen came from Pottery Barn a few years ago. I had been looking for a large white soup tureen for a while but nothing was quite right. When I saw this one I decided he needed a good home with us. I like the fact that he comes with a matching ladle.
