A Buffalo Print Valentine's Day Tablescape

Buffalo Print Black and White Tablecloth on a Tablescape

A bold and unusual Valentine’s Day Tablescape and it might not be to everyone’s taste but I love it. I have often used buffalo print tablecloths on my tablescapes and I think they are the perfect addition to a modern table design. I bought this Cotton Craft black and white buffalo print tablecloth on Amazon last month. I had a buffalo print tablecloth already that was the same colors but I wanted another one with smaller squares and this one was perfect.

Rae Dunn Valentine’s Day Coasters

I found this set of small square red Valentine’s Day coasters at HomeGoods last month and I grabbed them before they were gone. I knew I could use them on a Valentine’s Day tablescape in some way. They are Rae Dunn’s Artisan Collection by Magenta. There are four different designs in the set.

I like the shape of this small white glass tidbit or appetizer plate. It was made by Luminar France and we bought them on a trip to see our son in Virginia several years ago. I bought the same plate in black too and you can see that one on another tablescape here.

Fiesta Square Red Dinner Plate

Although I only have a few square plates in different sizes it is fun to set a table with square plates from time to time. I really like this square red Fiesta dinner plate. It has such a bold style and it is a perfect shade of red, a true red. I bought them online two years ago from Fiesta Factory Direct. It is a perfect addition to this plate stack.

This square black charger was made by American Atelier and distributed by The Jay Companies. I have had them for several years and I can’t remember where I bought them but it might have been Amazon or Webstaurantstore.com. They look like glass but they are some kind of resin.

Red Flatware for a Valentine’s Day Tablescape

This flatware is Ginkgo International Le Prix in Milano Red. I have had this set for years but it is still for sale. Not sure where I bought it. I have the same set in other colors as well. I found the red metal heart napkin rings on Amazon last month. I love the shape of them, they are kind of puffy. I’m not sure where the red and white plaid napkins came from but it was probably HomeGoods. The thread design is a bit different and I like it. I have had them for a few years.

When these place card holders came, they were a dark bronze color but Hubby painted them black for me for this tablescape. He thinks they will end up red eventually and he may be right! They aren’t labeled. I like the different shape of the heart. I found them on Poshmark for a really good price last month. I love that site! The red place cards came from Amazon last year. Red and Black Goblets for Valentine’s Day

Hubby found the red glass goblets on the left at an estate sale last year. I think they are hand blown Ruby Red Bubble Glass Goblets made by Artland. They are heavy and they work well with the bold designs on this tablescape. The goblet on the right with the black bowl and clear stem was made by Classic Touch and it is called V-Shaped Water Glass, Black With Clear Stem. I bought them at Houzz online a couple years ago. I like the mixture of these two different goblet patterns on this table setting. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying goblets for your tablescaping collection here.

Mosser Glass Red Salt and Pepper Set

I love red glassware so I decided to add a Mosser Glass red salt and pepper set to this Valentine’s Day tablescape just like I did last week. I bought this set online at The Vermont Country Store last year. The Mosser Glass Company was established in 1971 and it is located in Cambridge, Ohio. They sell high quality American made glassware and I love their products. I have a few sets of their goblets and a few cake stands too and if you read my blog you have seen their goblets on some of my tablescapes. You can see photos of one of the green Mosser goblets that I own on a tablescape here.

Just like last week, to balance the table, I placed a small red glass vase on the other side of the centerpiece. I like how it complements the red goblet. I can’t remember where it came from.

Grandin Road Metal Heart

You have seen many holiday products from Grandin Road online on my tablescapes over the last few years. When I saw this metal heart online I knew I would be using it on a Valentine’s Day tablescape this year. (I may keep it out year round.) There are two sizes and I bought the smaller size. Hubby painted it a darker black for me for this tablescape. I wanted to add a bit of color to it for this table so yesterday I bought this ribbon on Amazon to add to it. It is sitting on a wood stand that I bought at Pier 1 a couple years ago before our store closed. The stand was a natural wood color but Hubby painted it white for me to use on a few of my Beach tablescapes and then black for a couple Halloween tables. Now I wish I had bought a couple more to paint other colors! You can see the stand painted white on one of my summer tablescapes here.

I love creating Valentine’s Day Tablescapes! This was a fun one to do.

Vintage Hankies on a Valentine’s Day Tablescape

This is a variation of a Valentine’s Day Tablescape that I did in 2019 before I started blogging. I added a few things and subtracted a few others. I bought the red polyester tablecloth on Amazon a few years ago.

Valentine’s Day Red Hearts Salad Plate

This is my favorite Valentine’s Day salad plate, I just love the red hearts stacked on top of each other. It was made by Bordallo Pinheiro and I bought them over several years one at a time as I saw them on Ebay. They are hardly ever available for purchase anywhere. I was lucky to find them!

I have an extra plate on this plate stack because I wanted another white plate between the two red plates. I bought this white plate at Crate and Barrel several years ago. It is labeled paola navone made in portugal and the pattern was called Riviera. Crate and Barrel called it a dessert plate. It is a thick plate and I like the curling design on the lip.

Valentine’s Day Red Hearts Dinner Plate

This red hearts dinner plate or large salad plate was also made by Bordallo Pinheiro. I bought them several years ago a few at a time on Ebay also. I love the lip design on this plate too, all those tiny raised hearts. I have this same plate with small stars instead of hearts and I often use them on my 4th of July tablescapes. I try to use this red hearts plate on a tablescape at least once every February.

Valentine’s Day Charger Plate

This large white dinner plate or charger is the same pattern as the white salad plate on this plate stack. I bought them at Crate and Barrel several years ago when I bought the salad plates. It is labeled paola navone made in portugal and the pattern was called Riviera. It is a thick heavy plate. The lip design looks like hearts to me so it is the perfect charger for this Valentine’s Day tablescape.

Vintage Valentine’s Day Hankies

I was planning a talk to a women’s group about my vintage hankie collection at the same time that I was planning this tablescape. I suddenly realized that I could use my larger vintage Valentine’s Day hankies as placemats on this tablescape. I really love the way they look on this table setting. Vintage Valentine’s Day Hankie Placemats

I have dozens and dozens of Valentine’s hankies, I can’t believe how many different patterns there are.

I really wanted to use a different flatware pattern on this table because I have used this frosted white flatware set on three of my last five tablescapes but this set looked the best on this tablescape so here it is again! I bought this frosted white flatware on sale online at Wayfair a few years ago, it was made by Cambridge. It is 18/0 so the fork tines are a bit sharper than I would like but I really like the frosted white color. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here.

Valentine’s Day Napkins

These white cotton napkins with red hearts came from Pier 1 several years ago before our store closed. I found the red metal heart napkin rings on Amazon a few years ago. When the napkins have a busier pattern I like to use simple solid color napkin rings with them.

I bought these small red plastic heart placecard holders on Amazon a few years ago. I like the simple heart design. You can read my blog post about how to store napkin rings and place card holders here.

I am using my Waterford Marquis red Brookside goblets and iced teas on this Valentine’s Day tablescape. I found them at HomeGoods several years ago. I really love this glassware. It is heavy, well made, and a true red color. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying goblets here.

I saw this red heart cardboard box online at Target a couple years ago and I quickly bought it and a smaller size too before they sold out because I knew it would be the perfect size for a Valentine’s Day tablescape centerpiece. For this tablescape I added a bit of ribbon to it that I found on Amazon. The heart is sitting on a white drink dispenser stand that I bought at Pottery Barn several years ago. I placed another vintage Valentine hankie under the stand.

I have had the small red heart metal wreath that is hanging on the hutch for many years, I can’t remember where it came from. I placed the word love made out of wood on the hutch as well. I can’t remember where I bought it but it might have been Hobby Lobby. It was unfinished but Hubby painted it red for me.

Mosser Red Glassware

I love red glassware so I decided to add a Mosser red glass salt and pepper set to the table. I bought this set online at The Vermont Country Store last year. The Mosser Glass Company was established in 1971 and it is located in Cambridge, Ohio. They sell high quality American made glassware and I love their products. I have a few sets of their goblets and a few cake stands and if you read my blog you have seen the goblets on some of my tablescapes. A Winter Snowflake Tablescape

I have had this tablecloth for a while and I knew I wanted to use it on a Winter tablescape. I like the blue and silver snowflakes design. I think it came from HomeGoods a few years ago.

I love the snowflake design on the lip of these white salad plates. I found them at Crate and Barrel online a few years ago. Just for fun I added one of my Swarovski glass snowflakes to each salad plate. I have received one for Christmas each year for several years.

I have wanted to add cobalt blue Fiesta dinner plates to my tablescaping collection and I finally bought some online at Everything Kitchens LLC a few years ago because I knew they would match this tablecloth. This pattern was our everyday dishes pattern before we remodeled our kitchen but they were really worn so we replaced them with red ones after we finished the kitchen because the kitchen design is red and white. Sorry for the bad light reflection in this photo, the plates are actually brand new and in perfect condition.

I bought these stainless steel chargers at Crate and Barrel several years ago. Crate and Barrel is a great store for classic modern designs. I have bought many tablescaping items from that store over the years.

This flatware set a great flatware set for winter tablescapes. I bought this frosted white flatware on sale online at Wayfair a few years ago, it was made by Cambridge. It is 18/0 so the fork tines are a bit sharper than I would like but I really like the frosted white color.

I have had these cobalt blue cotton napkins for several years. I can’t remember where I bought them but it may have been Pier 1 or World Market. They are a good match for this tablecloth. I found the white porcelain snowflake napkin rings on Etsy a few years ago. As soon as I saw them I knew they would be perfect for winter tablescapes.

I can’t remember where I found these silver colored snowflake place card holders but they are a great addition to this tablescape. I found the snowflake place cards in my place cards drawer. I can’t remember where they came from.

I have been wanting stainless steel goblets for several years and I finally found some that I liked on Amazon a few years ago. They were made by OS Oak & Steel England. I found these white goblets at Walmart a few years ago after looking for white goblets for a long time. They were made by Artland and the pattern is called Veranda.

I was looking for some kind of large snowflake to use as a centerpiece and I found this foam snowflake on Etsy. I actually bought two and Hubby glued them together because I wanted it to be thicker and stand easily. I was going to have him paint it but I decided I liked the texture as it was. If you read my blog you saw this snowflake centerpiece on another snowflake tablescape I did but that tablescape was a bright light blue color. You can see that tablescape here. The snowflake is standing on a silver colored stand that I bought at Williams-Sonoma a few years ago.

A Snowman Winter Tablescape

Tablescaping in January can be a challenge. The holidays are over and Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day are off on the horizon. I try not to post holiday tablescapes too far in advance. I wanted to post a snowman tablescape but finding snowman designs that don’t have any Christmas elements on them can be difficult. I finally found these snowman salad plates a few years ago but I didn’t have a chance to use them on a tablescape until now. This sage green tablecloth came from Amazon a few years ago. I love it and it washes and irons beautifully. I went back and bought a few other colors as well. It is called maxmill Jacquard Table Cloth Swirl Design. If you read my blog you saw some gray napkins last week with this same fabric. It has lots of movement to it.

These cute Snowman salad plates are made by Pfaltzgraff and the pattern is called Evergreen Ernie. They come in a set of four salad plates with four different designs. I love the blue, green, and brown colors, they are perfect for a winter tablescape and the birds are a cute addition.

This green dinner plate came from Pier 1 several years ago. It was part of their Spice Route collection and the color was called Clove. I use this dinner plate often in the spring and fall.

This blue stoneware charger or dinner plate came from Pottery Barn a few years ago. I love this plate, I also have it in a few other colors as well. The pattern is called Cambria. This color is called Turquoise but it is actually kind of a dirty turquoise, not a really bright color. It is the perfect size to be either a dinner plate or a charger plate, I love plates that have that kind of versatility.

I bought these square brown charger plates at Pier 1 several years ago, they are some kind of melamine material. Most of my plates are round but I have added a few square plates in all sizes to my tablescaping collection.

This flatware set is labeled SR Showroom Italy. It was made by Zaffiro and I think I bought it on sale online at Horchow several years ago. The color is called Smoky and it looks like it has been discontinued. I really liked the simple design so I bought it in other colors as well. It is 18/10 stainless and a nice heavy set. The pieces are really longer in length than normal flatware. I have mentioned this before. If you are buying flatware and it isn’t 18/10 stainless always check the fork tines to make sure they have been filed enough and aren’t too sharp. Cheaper flatware often has this problem.

I have had these flannel plaid napkins for several years and I can’t remember where they came from. It was probably Pier 1 or HomeGoods. I have used them on tablescapes for fall and winter in the past. I bought the brown concave wood napkin rings at Pier 1 years ago before our store closed.

I found these brown wood place card holders on Amazon a few years ago. They are called MyGift Rustic Brown Wood Place Card Holders. They work really well with these brown chargers. The place cards came from Amazon as well.

The green acrylic goblet on the left came from our Pier 1 store before it closed a couple years ago. I think I bought the blue goblets on the right at Pier 1 a few years ago too. When I started tablescaping I didn’t pay attention to the height of the goblets that I was buying and I soon learned that I like them to be taller like these two.

These tree candles all came from Crate and Barrel over the years. I can’t remember where I found the snow people candle holder, I have had it for many many years. It is labeled Center Street Design, Snow Couple.

I added two small snowmen to the tablescape on each side of the centerpiece. This one isn’t labeled and I am not sure where I bought it.

This little snowman is a favorite of mine. It was made by Enesco and it is labeled Snow Folks by Priscilla Hillman, “I’m Here To Warm Your Heart”. I have had it for a long long time and I don’t remember where it came from. I love the design, the buttons, the hat, and the sparkle in his eyes.
