Candy Canes on a Christmas Tablescape

I did a similar candy themed tablescape like this one several years ago before I started blogging and I have been wanting to do another one for a few years. I made some changes to this one. The marching elves with candy that are on the table are favorites of mine. I was looking for a candy themed tablecloth and I found this one on Mercari a few years ago. It is probably vintage and it is a bit too small for my table so I am using it as a table topper on top of a red tablecloth that I have had for a long time that I bought on Amazon. I love to decorate with red and green at Christmas time, no neutrals for me! My mother loved that color combination at Christmas time and it reminds me of our house during the holidays when I was growing up.

I found these small appetizer or tidbit candy plates at World Market online a few years ago and I knew that I wanted to use them on this tablescape.

I can’t remember where I found these candy cane salad plates, I have had them for several years. They are labeled Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. on the back.

This green dinner plate was called Fun Factory and it was made by Waechtersbach. I have had them for several years and I can’t remember where I bought them.

This stoneware charger or dinner plate came from Pottery Barn several years ago. I love this plate, I also have it in other colors. The pattern is called Cambria. It is the perfect size to be either a dinner plate or a charger plate and I love plates that have that kind of versatility. Pottery Barn doesn’t have this color in this pattern now.

I love these green placemats, they are so whimsical. They are a hard foam material and I can’t remember where I found them. I have had them for several years.

This Milano Red flatware set is by Ginkgo International LePrix. I have had this set for years but it is still for sale. Not sure where I bought it.

My mother made a set of these candy cane napkins for our cousin many years ago. After my mother passed, when my cousin down-sized, she gave them back to me and they are special to me because my mother made them. WIth their colors they are a perfect match for this table topper and this tablescape. I can’t remember where I bought the candy cane napkin rings but it was probably Ebay. I have had them for many years.

I found these candy cane place card holders at Overstock.com a few years ago. The red place cards came from Amazon.

I used my red Waterford Marquis Brookside goblets for this table setting. I bought them at HomeGoods several years ago. If you read my blog you have seen this goblet on many tablescapes. I think if I were starting a tablescaping hobby, a set of red goblets would be one of my first purchases. They can be used several times a year. I bought the green goblets at Pier 1 several years ago. I really like the design of both of these goblets and the colors are perfect for this table setting.

These candy cane striped cake stands were made by Glitterville and they came in a set of three. I bought them many years ago. I love the candy designs around the edges of the stands. I had the smallest one on the top of the stack but I removed it because it made the centerpiece too tall. The small cookie jar on the top was made by Heartfelt Kitchen Creations, Young’s Inc., in 2012.

I truly love this row of four elves with candy on parade! I have had them for a while and I can’t remember where I bought them. The boots, the hats, the one with his hat over his eyes, I love it all! I have to smile every time I look at them.

Santa on a Christmas Tablescape

I did my first Santa Tablescape in 2012, then another one in 2014, and 2019. I did another one in 2022 after this one. They have all been a variation of each other with some things added and some things deleted. The cotton tablecloth probably came from HomeGoods many years ago.

If I had to pick a few plates to keep from my collection of plates, this Santa salad plate would be one of them. I love this Santa face. They were made by Fitz and Floyd and they were part of their Peppermint Santa series made between 2008 and 2010. I have several pieces from that collection and I love them all. I bought them all a few at a time on Ebay.

This is a Fiesta dinner plate in the color Scarlet. They are actually our everyday dishes. We bought them when we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago. It would be a great choice if you need a basic red dinner plate for your tablescaping collection.

These chargers were made by Mikasa and the pattern was Color Spectrum, this one in Hunter Green. I have several different colors of this charger and I really love the size, design and shape. They were all discontinued but I bought them all on Ebay a few at a time over the years.

I tried forest green flatware and then red but finally decided that I liked the contrast of the white flatware against the red tablecloth. I bought this frosted white flatware on sale online at Wayfair a few years ago, it was made by Cambridge. It is 18/0 so the fork tines are a bit sharper than I would like but I really liked the frosted color. Wayfair has really good sales on flatware sometimes.

The Merry napkins came from Pier 1 several years ago. I found the Santa napkin rings on Etsy a few years ago.

I am always on the lookout for Santas with cute faces.

This cute little Santa is actually a lip balm container. I saw them in a gift shop in Salt Lake City when I was there a few years ago and they were inexpensive and I immediately knew they would be perfect as place card holders. (A good lesson about seeing different uses for different things that you find when you are out and about.) I got some snowmen at the same time. The Santa is sitting on a clear glass cube place card holder that was made by Oleg Cassini that I found at HomeGoods several years ago. They are heavy and solid and I really like the design.

These Santa goblets are favorites of mine. I bought them online several years ago but I can’t remember where and I haven’t seen anything like them since. I love the face and the designs on the stem and the handle are so much fun. The label on the bottom says burton + BURTON. The green glass goblets on the right come from The Vermont Country Store online. They are made by Mosser and the pattern is Georgia. They are really heavy glass and very good quality. I have bought a few at a time over the years and I also have them in cobalt blue.

I think these Santa chair covers came from Miles Kimball online many years ago. I have six Santas and six Mrs. Claus but I decided to just use the Santas with this tablescape.

The Santa cookie jar centerpiece came from Macys a few years ago. It is sitting on a Pottery Barn Rhodes drink dispenser stand for a bit more height. I added a vintage Christmas hankie from my collection with Santas around the edges. The Believe sign in the background came from Grandin Road online several years ago.

Can’t remember where I found this Santa salt and pepper set. I like the flowing beards.

This small vintage candy container was made by Holt Howard probably sometime in the late 1950’s or early 1960’s. I have a few cups that match this design too. I bought it many years ago probably on Ebay. It usually sits on the family room coffee table with M&M’s in it all during the holiday season. Everyone knows to sneak a few when they come over and it magically gets filled over and over. (There is another candy container on the living room coffee table too with the same contents and same magic.)

Just for fun I am showing you one of our five Christmas trees, this is the Santa tree in the family room, only Santa ornaments on this tree. (I collected Christmas ornaments for over 40 years.)

Can’t have Christmas without at least one Santa tablescape!

Poinsettias on a Christmas Tablescape

This is a repeat of a tablescape that I did several years ago before I started blogging. I changed it just a bit for this tablescape. The poinsettia tablecloth and napkins came from HomeGoods several years ago. I like the shiny raised thread poinsettia design. I love poinsettias at Christmas time, they remind me of my mother who loved to decorate with them during the holidays.

These poinsettia salad plates came from Cracker Barrel several years ago. We were on our way driving back from a visit to our son and his family in Virginia when I saw a few of these in the gift shop while we were eating at a Cracker Barrel. They only had a few so during the rest of the drive home we kept stopping at Cracker Barrel Restaurants to look for more. Finally, when we were almost home, someone told me that I could order the rest online! As soon as we got home I bought the rest of them. I really love the design on the plate with the poinsettias, berries, pine cones, and greenery.

I love these red ruffled edge melamine dinner plates. They were made by Baci Milano and I bought them online at Neiman Marcus on sale several years ago. The pattern was called Baroque & Rock. I bought the same plate in a salad plate size and a lime green salad size.

These chargers were made by Mikasa and the pattern was Color Spectrum, this one in the color Hunter Green. I have several different colors of this charger and I really love the size, design and shape. They were discontinued but I bought them all on Ebay a few at a time over the years.

This frosted flatware was made by D & D Inox in Italy. I bought it at Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales during a major sale several years ago. I love this flatware pattern, I have it in a few other colors as well. There are similar patterns available online now. I really like the marbleized design on the handles.

I love this small poinsettia bread and butter plate. You could use it as an appetizer plate as well. You can really see the raised beaded thread design on the tablecloth in this photo.

I bought these poinsettia place card holders online at Oriental Trading several years ago. The green place cards came from Amazon earlier this year. I really enjoy finding place card holders that carry out the themes on my tablescapes. They just add that extra special touch.

Hubby and I were wandering around and I suddenly saw a few of them and quickly looked and found twelve. I was so lucky! They are really heavy glass and very good quality. I have bought a few at a time over the years. I also have them in cobalt blue and I am eyeing the red ones.

I found some faux poinsettias for this tablescape’s centerpiece, it is a bit early for good quality real ones. I can’t remember where I bought them, I have had them for a while. They are sitting in a red and green handblown Blenko Monticello Poinsettia Vase from Monticello Shop online, a Christmas present from Hubby last year. The base looks black in the photos but it is really a pretty Christmas green color like the green goblets.

I can’t remember where I bought these metal Heritage Pottery poinsettia taper candle holders. They might be vintage. I always have taper candles in different colors to use on my tablescapes.

It wouldn’t be a Wilson Christmas without poinsettias in the house!

Squirrels on a November Thanksgiving Buffet Tablescape

I have a soft spot for squirrels. Although we live in a suburban area we still have squirrels that come around from time to time. Sometimes they sit on the wall outside my kitchen window and stare in at me. Someone in the neighborhood feeds them peanuts and I think they are wondering if I have a few too. I did a tablescape with an acorn theme, you can see it here. I have used a few of the same items on this tablescape that I used on that one. I found the beige tablecloth at HomeGoods a few years ago. It has a slight brown tweed design. The Gather sign came from Grandin Road online a few years ago. It was a distressed gold color but Hubby painted it brown for me.

I found these squirrel salad plates on Ebay a few years ago. They were made by Better Homes and Gardens in 2013 and they were part of their Heritage Collection. I love that sweeping tail.

This brown dinner plate was Double Ridge Cocoa Brown by Rachael Ray. They were made between 2012 and 2014 and they have been discontinued. I wanted a simple brown dinner plate and I finally found these several years ago, I can’t remember where.

I bought these Acacia wood round bark edge chargers at Target a few years ago. They were made by Threshold. I thought they would be perfect on this squirrel tablescape. I used them on a winter themed tablescape that you can see here. Search Google for bark charger to find others like this.

This amber flatware was made by D & D Inox in Italy. I bought it online at Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales during a major sale several years ago. I can’t remember where I bought the amber glass goblets, if anyone recognizes the pattern, please let me know. The brown goblet was made by Lenox between 1966 and 1985. It was called Antique Brown. I bought them on Ebay several years ago. I think I found this centerpiece squirrel at HomeGoods a few years ago. As soon as I saw him I knew there was going to be a squirrel tablescape in my future. I had some acorns that I had bought on Etsy and I scattered them around for additional interest.

The two smaller squirrels came from Amazon a few years ago. This one looks real!
